As complexity of flow physics increases, CFD must rise to meet growing demands for breadth of accurate and reliable turbulence models.
This event will first address steady-state turbulence models (RANS family of models) which use state-of-the-art near wall treatment models to accurately predict phenomena like lift, drag, and surface heat transfer. In addition, you will hear how to reliably predict the onset and extent of laminar-turbulent transition even in complex applications.
Finally, turbulence models designed for challenging flows like swirling flows, flows with large separation zones, and free-shear and mixed layer flows will be discussed.Turbulence model applications, robustness, and accuracy will be shown and discussed using a number of selected benchmarks and engineering applications.
